
Simon Platt is UKIP’s candidate for Preston in the general election on 8 June 2017.
Simon is a self-employed Chartered Engineer, specialising in ionising radiation instrumentation and cosmic radiation effects on electronic systems. He formerly worked at BAE Systems and at the University of Central Lancashire. He was educated at Hutton Grammar School and Leeds University. He is married, with two sons. He has lived in Preston all his life, and attends St Walburge’s Church.
